Located in the heart of Clarksdale deep in the Mississippi Delta, we are a stone’s throw from the Delta Blues Museum, Ground Zero Blues Club, The New Roxy, Red’s Juke Joint, Travelers Hotel, and Hambone Gallery.  Hooker Grocer + Eatery is a restaurant and bar serving southern classics with a tasty and unique Clarksdale twist.

Our restaurant is named after Clarksdale’s own John Lee Hooker, as we are located on John Lee Hooker Ln. 

Clarksdale is considered the “birthplace of the blues” with live music 365 days a year. We do our part and have live music in our small intimate stage area 1-2 nights a week. We have hosted the likes of Australian bluesman CW Stoneking to local Blues favorites Bill Abel, Lucious Spiller, and Deek Harp. 

Hooker Grocer + Eatery serves dinner Wednesday through Sunday. A great selection of cocktails in a casual southern atmosphere, celebrating the music and rich cultural history of Clarksdale, Mississippi. We have live music on Fridays and Sundays as well as selected other nights.

If you are interested in renting our our lil shack for a private event, we can do that. If you'd like us to cater for 10 people or 100, we can do that too.
